All exam parts required by your decision must be taken at the same sitting. Complete the SIP4a form electronically and name it using Matrikelnummer_NACHNAME_Vorname_SIP4a.pdf.

Withdraw from the overall exam yourself through Med.Campus at least 3 full working days before it. After that deadline, short-notice illness requires a medical certificate sent to the Studienabteilung.

An unexcused no-show leads to a three-month suspension. Periods without teaching pause the suspension, effectively extending it.

Passing a SIP requires at least 60 percent of the questions in each block or tertial, and overall. Also check the current announcement for your particular sitting.

According to the registration form for nostrification candidates, SIP4a consists of block 25 (surgical subjects), block 26 (dermatology and venereology) and block 27 (internal medicine). Register for the parts your decision prescribes.

According to the registration form for nostrification candidates, SIP5a consists of T1 neurology, T2 psychiatry, T3 paediatrics, T4 gynaecology, T5 ophthalmology, T6 ENT and T7 emergency and intensive care medicine. Register for the parts your decision prescribes.

If the overall pass mark is not reached, the whole exam is repeated. For SIP4a and SIP5a, up to two failed blocks or tertials can be repeated; if more are failed, the whole exam is repeated.

Supplementary exams assessed negatively may be repeated four times (5 attempts). If the last permitted repeat of the last exam of the study is negative, there is a right to one more attempt (6 attempts). If all attempts are used up without success, admission to the study ends and re-admission is excluded.

Not officially confirmed: according to the registration form, attempts 4 and 5 are commission attempts. How the board examines nostrification candidates at current sittings is not confirmed.

The calendar lists MC or KAF for the next November sittings. The announcement specifies the format, venue and time; the SIP form says it is published at least 3 weeks before the exam.
