The semester calendar requires withdrawal through the muw email route at least three working days before the exam, or by exam day for illness. Late withdrawal brings a statutory block; this calendar does not state its length.

A failed supplementary exam may be repeated four times, giving five attempts in total. The Merkblatt allows a further attempt under its conditions for the final exam of the programme. Exhausting the permitted attempts ends admission and excludes readmission.

For Innsbruck supplementary exams after a positive Stichprobentest, the guide specifies 14 legal-medicine questions, electronic delivery and at least 60 percent per field. This does not automatically apply to Vienna.
